Built in the Golden Twenties in the centre of Berlin and idyllically situated on the Spree river, the Arena Berlin is industrial monument and unique location in one. The 20,000 m² site combines industrial architecture with a modern event location. The area includes six indoor and outdoor locations in an urban setting.

Located in Berlin’s inner-city district Alt-Treptow, the 6,500 m2 Arena Halle offers high-quality professional infrastructure. The structure, originally the main bus workshop of the Allgemeine Berliner Omnibus company, was built in 1927 according to the design of architect Franz Ahrens, who held the title of imperial building officer. At the time, it was the largest cantilevered hall in Europe.

The Arena Halle is a combination of 1920s industrial architecture and contemporary event infrastructure, and this gives the heritage-protected venue its distinctive character. It was fully refurbished in 2000 and is now one of Berlin’s most popular event locations.

HOUSE RULES
The current version of the house rules applies to the entire premises of Arena Berlin. This includes the Arena Halle, the adjacent outdoor area, the Glashaus, the Magazin, the Badeschiff, the Sonnendeck (Escobar) as well as the Arena Club, including all paths and outdoor areas. The house rules apply on event days as well as on all other days to all visitors, tenants, service providers and all other persons. Anyone found breaking these rules can be immediately expelled, excluded from the event, banned from entering the entire grounds, and/or prosecuted. Furthermore, damages can be claimed from such person(s). The current version of the house rules is available in the DOWNLOAD section below.

TECHNICAL GUIDELINES
Arena Berlin has issued a number of guidelines for trade fairs and events with the aim of enabling all participants to run the event successfully and safely. These technical guidelines are based on legal and official requirements and are binding minimum standards for all exhibitors and organisers. The technical guidelines in their current version apply to the entire premises of Arena Berlin. This includes the Arena Hall, the adjoining open courtyard, the Foyers, the Glashaus, the Magazin, the Badeschiff, the Sonnendeck and the Arena Club, including all access routes and areas. Compliance with the guidelines is controlled by the employees of Arena Berlin, the organisers and commissioned third parties. The current version of the techincal guidlines is available in the DOWNLOAD section below.

NOTES ON FLOOR, USE OF ADHESIVE TAPE AND MARKINGS
The surface of the hall floor is made of mastic asphalt. Except in marked areas, heavy goods traffic is possible. The shiny black effect of the floor is caused by surface treatment. The surface is sensitive to abrasion, damage caused by mechanical stresses or when removing adhesive materials. The repairing of damaged areas is time-consuming and expensive, and often the treatment of extensive areas is required. No substances containing oil or grease etc. may be used for floor markings, and only residue-free removable adhesive tape etc. and no paints may be used. Only residue-free removable material may be used as adhesive material. Further notes on the floor in the arena hall, use of adhesive materials and markings are available in the DOWNLOAD section below.

FURNITURE AND EXTRAS
Our partner company expofair will supply you with everything you need to design your booth. The hall has only basic lighting, for special highlighting, we recommend additional lamps, especially since in summer the windows on the ceiling are darkened because of heat. The hall has air conditioning, but with the doors open the cooling might be weakened. We therefore recommend placing fans. The order form for booth constrcution is vailable in the DOWNLOAD section below. Please note that the deadline for ordering furniture and extras is 6 June 2024.
